INTRODUCTION:

The Global Leaders Forum (GLF) is a premier international platform that convenes heads of state, global CEOs, policymakers, and thought leaders to engage in high-level dialogue on economic growth, governance, sustainability, and global cooperation. The inaugural event, set for 24th November 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa, aligns with the G20 summit and aims to shape “The World We Want”.

"The GLF is an event backed by the University of Johannesburg, one of Africa’s most respected institutions, renowned for its thought leadership and excellence in education. With its legacy of driving critical discourse, the GLF will host various local and international media houses, providing an influential platform to amplify the outcomes of GLF discussions and ensure global impact."

The Advisory Council of GLF 2025 includes distinguished figures such as:

  • Her Excellency Dr Ameenah Gurib-Fakim (ex-President of Mauritius);
  • Former Minister of Finance of South Africa,  Dr Nhlanhla Nene;
  • Chairman of Bidvest Group, Business Unity SA and Chancellor of the UFS, Prof Bonang Mohale;
  • 'Princess of Africa' Ms Yvonne Chaka Chaka;

The Chairman of the GLF, Dr Roger Latchman, plays a leadership role at the Values 20 (V20), and on the Integrity & Compliance Task Force at the B20, further reinforcing GLF’s alignment with global values-driven leadership, ethical governance, and sustainable development frameworks that shape G20 policy discussions.

The Africa Leaders Forum (ALF) will be an integral part of GLF 2025, providing a dedicated platform for African leadership, business, and development. While ALF will debut as a segment within GLF 2025, it is designed to evolve into a standalone annual event from 2026 onward and will expand across multiple African countries, strengthening regional collaboration and investment opportunities while maintaining its affiliation with GLF as the continent’s premier leadership and policy forum.
